Una delle cose che fatico maggiormente a trovare da quando sono qui in USA e del pane buono, troviamo delle baguette ma dopo un po’ non poter cambiare stufa, per il resto sembra sempre gomma da masticare, così ho deciso di fare qualche esperimento e ormai posso dire che questa ricetta é stracollaudata.

- 500 gr di farina bianca
- 1 cucchiaino da té di miele
- 380 ml di acqua tiepida
- 2 cucchiai di lievito
- 1 cucchiaio di sale

- Per prima cosa, sciogliere miele e lievito nell’acqua tiepida e lasciar riposare per un paio di minuti. Nel frattempo iniziare a smuovere la farina con l’impastatore a velocitá bassa (o setacciarla in precedenza).
- Aumentare leggermente la velocitá dell’impastatrice fino ad una velocitá media e poco alla volta unire il composto liquido (acqua, lievito e miele) alla farina. Lasciar impastare per un minuto ed infine aggiungere il sale. Continuare a impastare per altri 5 minuti.
- Spostare l’impasto (che deve risultare molle ed appiccicoso) in una ciotola infarinata e spolverizzare di farina. Coprire e lasciar riposare per 1 ½ ora a temperatura costante.
- Preriscaldare il forno a 220ºC (425ºF). Adagiare il pane su una superficie infarinata e suddividerlo il pane in pezzi (sarebbe meglio non piú di 6, con queste dosi) della dimensione e forma voluta. Adagiare I pezzi su una teglia coperta con la carta da forno e cuocere per 30 minuti.
- Sfornare e lasciar raffreddare su una griglia.

- First, dissolve yeast and honey in warm water, and let stand for a few minutes. In the meantime, start to stir the flour with the kneader on low speed (or sift it before).
- Slowly increase the speed of the mixer to a medium speed, and gradually add the liquid mixture (water, yeast and honey) to the flour. Allow to knead it for a minute, and then add the salt. Continue to mix for another 5 minutes.
- Move the dough (which should be soft and sticky) in a floured bowl, and sprinkle with flour. Cover. Let stand for 1 ½ hours at a constant temperature.
- Preheat the oven to 220 º C (425 º F). Lay the bread on a floured surface and divide the bread into pieces (it would be better to not more than 6, with these doses) in the desired shape and size. Lay the pieces on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool on cooling rack.

Ciao Valentina!!! grazie della tua ricetta, sono in vacanza alle Hawaii, anche io torinese (di origine pugliese) e stavo impazzendo per fare il pane e cercare una ricetta con questo DRY YEAST, stavo male a non trovare il lievito di birra o il normale bicarbonato…. comunque la tua ricetta è l’unicache mi abbia permesso di fare il pane grazie alle dosi in tazze e cucchiai!!!! In questa casa non c’è una bilancia… Grazie e buona vita a te!!!
